Kris knows the fashion business! After living in China for 3 years he has a strong understanding of the sourcing, distribution and supply chain management required to execute flawless product delivery strategies for global customers.

For ten years, Kris has been elevating the efficiency of operations with Glam & Glitter, his family owned fashion accessories business. Most recently, he spearheaded a re-branding campaign and expanded product distribution to global sales markets, forging strong  international client relationships. His latest creation Black Suede Studio is the result of a keen sense for business development and recognizing gaps in the marketplace. With Kris at the helm, driving operations and product sourcing, Black Suede Studio is delivering high-quality footwear at competitive prices to leading retailers worldwide.


Co-Founder & VP of Merchandising

With close to 20 years experience in the industry, Anne-Marie has fashion in her blood. As a product developer for the ALDO group, she has built footwear collections for all corporate and international stores. With her sharp sense of fashion trends and consumer behaviour, she garnered the reputation of a shoe expert who consistently delivered top sellers each season.

After starting a family, it was time to take her career to the next level by co-founding Black Suede Studio. She continuously leverages her experience to develop on trend footwear to serve branded retailers globally. With Anne-Marie’s vision and drive she has led the way to developing the Black Suede Studio brand.

Studio Assistant

We are a small and fast growing company in an exciting and dynamic industry.  The Studio Assistant will work closely with the executive team and support them in a wide variety of operations. The ideal candidate is an energetic and professional individual who thrives in a dynamic environment.



  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (completed or in progress)
  • 1-2 years experience in a similar or administrative role
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong ability to manage and prioritize workflow, as well as ability to work autonomously with a minimum of supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Superior communication skills in French and English (written and spoken)

Design Intern

The Design Intern helps our design team create collections for our various partners. He/She possesses the technical and creative skills necessary for product design, and the desire to understand and adapt to clients' specifications. 



  • Diploma in Fashion Design, Product Design or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Excellent abilities in manual drawing and technical sketching
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Keen sense of fashion, trends and pop culture
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and disposition
